OH! and it was wife that suggested we see Inherent Vice after she saw the trailer (I mainly don't watch trailers before I see a movie); I had never mentioned it before and had to do a double-take that she even suggested it but I kept my mouth shut; although we both liked Magnolia and The Master

I watched The Master the other day. I was on the fence about it until the end and then I liked it.

Men, Women and Children has been on my radar, I just haven't got around to it yet

I'm trying to remember if I've seen Short Term or it's just the title that is familiar

my 1st review of Inherent Vice: OMG

my wife's review of Inherent Vice: an insipid boring druggie movie I HATED even more than Tree of Life and Melancholia
Melancholia is beautiful.

Melancholia is a work of art. You can feel the utter dreadfulness through out the film which makes it the ultimate film study of depression.

Are you telling me that ending did not move every fiber of your being?

Not even two or three of them. :fartbomb:

actually that may be a lie; I seem to recall feeling like I should be moved, so I may have moved a few fibres by force of will.

antichrist on the other hand was pretty good

to be clear I LIKED both Tree of Life and Melancholia, it was only my wife that HATED them; we both liked Boyhood, I haven't gotten around to reading the thread here about Boyhood yet

impossible to tell; looks arty and self-important to me, but that could just be the trailer

quick glance says poor reviews...
